Kuzguncuk Villa

The Kuzguncuk Villa project is situated on a sloped topography that establishes a direct relationship with the historical fabric of the Bosphorus. The starting point of the project was the preservation of the existing oak trees on the site and the connection of terraces opening to the view in a stepped layout.nnThe material palette, built on the contrast of exposed concrete, natural wood, and black metal surfaces, facilitates the integration of the structure with the natural environment while offering an honest tectonic expression. The industrial feel brought by the exposed concrete ceilings and open-plan layouts in the interiors is balanced with warm wooden furniture and abundant natural daylight provided by large glass facades.nnWith ecological criteria prioritized, rainwater harvesting systems and passive climatization strategies have been integrated, resulting in an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly residence.
